Overview
Dukan Wala takes the lessons from Dudh Wala further — a full digital toolkit for neighbourhood shopkeepers, combining billing, ledgers, and even AI-assisted marketing into one offline-friendly app.
The Challenge
Shopkeepers needed several distinct capabilities — a Khata Book ledger, smart billing, a traditional Taraju-style calculator, voice-based product entry, secure QR storage, and even AI-generated marketing posters — unified without becoming overwhelming.
Approach
- Prioritised features based on real shopkeeper pain points: unpaid credit tracking, fast billing, and simple marketing.
- Integrated voice input for product entry, since typing product names all day is slow and error-prone.
- Added an AI marketing studio and festival poster generator so shopkeepers could create promotional content without design skills.
- Built offline-first with cloud sync so data isn't lost when connectivity drops.
The Solution

Outcome
