Overview
Building on what I learned from Virtual GF, A&K Study Helper AI applies conversational AI to something more useful — helping students summarise topics and answer academic questions on demand.
The Challenge
Generic AI chat tools aren't tuned for academic use — they ramble, lose focus, or give answers that are hard to study from. The interface also needed to feel purpose-built for studying, not just another chatbot skin.
Approach
- Refined prompts specifically for academic summarisation and Q&A use cases.
- Designed a study-first interface with topic organisation alongside the chat itself.
- Tested extensively with real coursework questions from my own classes to tune response quality.
The Solution
